Beauty DIY: 3 Easy Halloween Looks You Can Create in Minutes

Happy Halloween.jpg

We’ve all been there: After deciding to Netflix your favorite scary movies and stay in because Halloween falls on a weekday yet again, suddenly you get an invite to a friend’s party they threw together at the last minute. The only catch? It’s a costume party and you don’t have anything planned (and you’re not wearing last year’s costume!)

Or maybe you’re not trying to go all out with a crazy Halloween costume but you still want to do something fun with your makeup. Either way, celebrity makeup artist Molly Gardner shares 3 fun and easy-to-create Halloween looks that you can do in just minutes using C’est Moi products:

1. David Bowie

Get the Look:

  1. Apply an even application of Brilliance Pressed Powder Foundation with a large powder brush all over the face, neck and chest.

  2. Using the Visionary Makeup Crayon in Ruby (red), create the red outline of the lightning bolt. Starting at the top center of your forehead, draw a line at a 45-degree angle over the right eye and eyebrow all the way down to your right cheekbone. If you are worried about making a straight line, you can use a piece of scotch tape on your forehead to help create straight lines.

  3. Next, bring this Ruby line at an angle towards the center of your nose staying on your cheek, then bring this line back out angle down toward the outer edges of your lower cheek. About three inches over from your first ruby line, draw another line down from the top of your forehead, parallel to the first line, then bring it back up and stop about one inch above the inner left eye. Finally, bring the line back down and connect it to the first line, drawing between the eyebrows at a sharp point to meet your first line below the eye near your nose. Fill in the lighting bolt shape you’ve just created with Visionary Makeup Crayon in Ruby.

  4. Note: Darker shades should always be used last if possible, so it doesn’t muddy the lighter makeup shades. Leaving a small gap for the black outline to come, use the Visionary Makeup in Turquoise to draw a line at the same angle as the lightning bolt. Start at the top of your forehead, near your Ruby red line, but remember to still leave a gap for your black line. Draw this line down over the right eye to match with your red lightning bolt.

  5. Leave another thin gap, and draw your Turquoise line down the left side of the lower part of the bolt. Using the Visionary Makeup Crayon in Night (black), draw a thin line in between the Ruby and Turquoise shades on both parts of the bolt.

  6. Finish lashes with a light application of Muse Mascara on both top and bottom lashes. Give lips a hint of shine and shimmer by applying Reflect Lip Gloss in Opulence.

2. Spiderweb Eyes

Get the Look:

  1. Apply an even application of Brilliance Pressed Powder Foundation with a large powder brush all over the face, neck and chest.

  2. Using Fearless Eyeliner Pencil in black, draw a thin line on both the upper and lower lash lines of the eyes.

  3. Using a super thin and stiff liner brush, gently swipe the end of the Visionary Makeup Crayon in Night (black). Apply the first layer of each web starting at the crease of the eye moving upward. Apply these vertical lines almost to the brow bone.

  4. To create a web shape, connect the vertical lines with your brush by drawing several small “U” shapes in between each line.

  5. Finish lashes with a light application of Muse Mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

  6. Fill in lips with Luminary Lip Crayon in Courage for a beautiful pop of color.

Get the Look:

  1. Apply an even application of Brilliance Pressed Powder Foundation with a large powder brush all over the face, neck and chest.

  2. Line lower lash line with Visionary Makeup Crayon in Dove (white). Bring the lower lash line inward, slightly past and down to the inner corner of the eye to create a more feline shape. Gently apply a small amount of the same color under both brow bones and over eyelids. Use your finger to smudge gently over brow bone and eyelids.

  3. Using Fearless Eyeliner Pencil in black, draw a thin line along the bottom lashes. Next, draw a thin line on the upper lash line, extending the edges out and up into a cat eye. Add a line directly in the crease of the eye with Visionary Makeup Crayon in Dove.

  4. Using Visionary Makeup Crayon in Night (black), draw two thin lines down the sides of the nose. Draw an inverted triangle on the end of the nose using the same makeup crayon and fill it in.

  5. Next, draw a line straight down from the nose to your upper lip, and fill in just the top lip using Makeup Crayon in Night. At the edges of the mouth, extend the lip line outward and upward. Add a few black dots above the mouth on both sides.

  6. Using Makeup Crayon in Night, draw half moon, squiggly shapes on one side of the forehead. Keep the shapes open on one side and large enough to add color in the center. Take Visionary Makeup Crayon in Tangerine and fill in the center of the spots you’ve just created.

  7. Finish lashes with a light application of Muse Mascara on both top and bottom lashes. Give lips a hint of color by applying Luminary Lip Crayon in Fresh.
