For those looking for a reset and to start the new year on a peaceful note, Aman New York is offering Journey to Peace, an enlightening four-day, three-night retreat from January 23 to 27. The unique spiritual retreat will be led by Master Geshe YongDong (Geshe La), a renowned Buddhist monk, mindfulness coach and long-term Aman collaborator.

During the Journey to Peace retreat, which has been curated as an emotional journey, Geshe La will guide participants through different stages to achieving a healthier and happier life. He will focus on five key elements: 1) changing perceptions 2) letting go of attachment to find acceptance 3) calm breath, calm mind 4) living mindfully 5) healing anger.

Each day of the retreat will include Tsa Lung breath work and meditation practice, in addition to chanting sessions and mantra meditation. Accommodation and breakfast are included, alongside a 90-minute Signature Spa treatment. The retreat will end with a closing lunch with Geshe La, offering guests further opportunity to draw on his wisdom before they depart.

The unique spiritual retreat will be led by renowned Buddhist monk Master Geshe YongDong.

Geshe La was born in Tibet in 1969 and became a monk when he was 13 years old. A master of the Bon Dzogchen tradition, who has achieved the highest monastic degree in Buddhism, he has taught in many spiritual centers and universities around the world, is the founder and spiritual director of Sherab Chamma Ling and Bon da Ling (spiritual centers in British Colombia and Costa Rica), and is vice president of the International Tibetan non-sectarian Buddhism organization. He has also published several books including “Calm Breath, Calm Mind.”
