The Big Easy is known for many things: the music, the food, the people—and after visiting Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans, the spa will be added to your list. The spa and health club opened in April 2022 and features eight treatment rooms, a steam room and sauna, relaxation lounges, and a luxe couple’s room with a soaking tub, amassing at over 5,000 square feet total.

With views of the Mississippi, the spa showcases natural light, French beauty inspiration, and the spirit of NOLA. The interior is stunning with raw white oak, gray travertine, rattan accents, and wrought iron silhouette-projecting lamps. Beautiful artwork from Nicole Charbonnet and Allison Janae Hamilton adorn the halls, adding a level of grace to the overall tranquility of the spa.

One of the best spas in New Orleans, The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans is inspired by the French phrase, “Bon vivant,” which means, “One who lives well.” This idea is seen throughout the spa menu through French treatment techniques, locally-sourced ingredients, and nods to the culture of the South.

Key Features: Each locker room features a eucalyptus steam room and an aromatic cool mist room. We have three comfortable relaxation lounges. My favorite lounge overlooks the Mississippi River and is the perfect place to sip a glass of bubbles while watching the sunset.

Snacks Served: We offer infused waters, cold pressed teas, non-alcoholic sparkling rosé, dried fruit, and sesame sticks to snack on. At the conclusion of each service we offer a personalized mimosa offering and a sumptuous dark chocolate with nuts inspired by the famous pralines of New Orleans.

The spa’s front desk area features raw white oak and design elements that nod to New Orleans.

Bonus: Our customized mimosa offering in our relaxation lounge is a guest favorite.

Pod-like spaces offer privacy and tranquility within one of the spa’s relaxation rooms.

Insider’s Tip: Our lymphatic services are a must experience. I  recommend a lymphatic massage followed by a Biologique Recherche Facial for the ultimate full-body detoxification. I have never felt more refreshed and lighter on my feet as I did after these services. A truly powerful combination especially in the warmer months.

A rooftop relaxation space offers stunning views of the Mississippi River.

Unique Treatment: Our Southern Gentleman and Southern Rose services are inspired by the beauty and cultural richness of New Orleans. It uses locally handcrafted oils from cypress trees and fresh rose petals, a warm shea butter scrub, and a local cocktail to enjoy while taking in the views of the city.

A serene treatment room features natural light and  a fresh aesthetic.

Splurge Treatment: I have been an esthetician for 15 years and the Triple Lift Facial is one of the most impressive skin treatments I have ever seen. It combines galvanic currents and French microneedling for a one-of-a-kind skincare experience. This combination is further enhanced with a potent cocktail of skin boosters that deeply nourish the skin. It is a truly unbelievable combination, worth every penny.

The Triple Lift Facial uses active serums and multiple treatment modalities, tools, and techniques to combat the signs of aging.

Insider’s Favorite: My favorite depends on the season. In the summer time I love the Detox Envelopment because it’s so refreshing, but in winter I love the warm mud mask and heated candle massage in the Equilibrium Ritual.

Relaxed lighting and a private bath make this couple’s treatment room extra inviting.

Featured Brands: We feature Biologique Recherche, Seed to Skin Tuscany, Aromatherapy Associates, and Zents.
