We chatted with Shaw Cote, the property’s Director of Spa & Wellness, to learn more about treatments to try, insider tips, and more.

A series of the Hotel’s spaces including The Spa feature continued design themes from the lobby and guest rooms, with mid-century-inspired gentle curves and beautiful finishes, while imbuing each space with its own unique identity.

Splurge Treatment: Our selection of Waves Body Treatment series features signature scrubs, wraps, and combination body and facial treatments. Performed on the specialty Spa Dream aquatic table, the Spa’s therapists bring the experience to life through hypnotic, rhythmic and wave-inducing motions that provide rest from the tensions of gravity.

The two-hour version of The Waves from Soul to Sole would have to be at the top of my list for a luxury spa splurge. The full-body treatment pays proper devotion to the head and feet with a focused massage and Sodashi therapies that alleviate fatigue and soothe the senses. A neck, shoulder and scalp massage is followed by an aromatic steam head wrap featuring an enriching scalp mud. A gentle fragrant exfoliation of the body is followed by a hydrating application of botanical cream to nourish and soften.

Then, with a focus on pressure points, feet and calves are thoroughly massaged with a mint and arnica treatment. Only the two-hour version includes additional time for a full-body massage so you won’t feel that anything was missed while you “float” through these two splendid hours.

Unique Treatment: I would have to say the Signature Renaissance Top-to-Toe Facial and Body Combo Treatment, which uses Pietro Simone’s cutting-edge skincare line and his unique approach to exfoliation using a cotton thread technique handed down from his grandmother, as well as a dry Gua Sha massage that helps to sculpt the facial tissue and stimulate collagen production. His high-tech, upgraded version of this facial also employs the best technologies in one device—his Pietro Simone Skin Stimulator brings LED, high radio frequency, microcurrent, and massage. This treatment was designed to change your skin!

Insider’s Favorite: As a massage therapist myself, I’m very partial to our customizable Signature Ebb & Flow Massage. This 90-minute treatment does it all. The oceanic-inspired flowing movements envelop the entire body in a very three-dimensional way flowing over and under the body, and then in a beautiful dance the therapist transitions into table Thai stretches of holds and releases that extend the relief and renewal all the way into the joints. This beautifully choreographed hybrid treatment begins and ends with vibrationally therapeutic Himalayan singing bowls to help send you into a new dimension of tranquility.
