Spa Profile: Omorovicza London Institute

Hungarian skincare brand Omorovicza opened its debut London Institute in the city’s luxury Mayfair district.

Award-winning luxury skincare brand Omorovicza, known for its results-driven products that capture the healing powers of Budapest’s mineral-rich thermal baths to transform skin, has opened its debut London Institute in the heart of London’s Mayfair district.

Drawing inspiration from its iconic Institute in Budapest and the Rácz Fürdo (the Omorovicza family’s 1800s thermal bath), the Omorovicza London Institute offers an immersive experience that combines centuries-old wellness traditions with the latest skincare science advancements, to deliver transformative results through personalized product recommendations and targeted skincare treatments.

The beautifully curated 1,600-square-foot space features a cocooning relaxation area, courtyard, retail boutique, and two private treatment rooms. Throughout the spa runs a layered motif that represents the stratification of the earth—which pays homage to the brand’s unique use of therapeutic spring waters and mineral-rich mud.

The treatment menu at Omorovicza London Institute offers six Skin Therapy Sessions, each based around unique products and the magic of traditional Hungarian massage. All of Omorovicza’s products are powered by the brand’s patented Healing ConcentrateTM, which delivers a potent distillation of Budapest’s thermal waters via biofermentation and encapsulation, and is clinically proven to dramatically improve skin hydration, elasticity, and firmness.

After their treatments, guests are given a Skin Therapy Prescription by their Skin Therapist, along with recommended products and techniques to continue their Skin Therapy journey at home to maintain and continue to improve skin until their next visit.

We chatted with Margaret de Heinrich, co-founder of Omorovicza, to learn more about treatments to try, insider tips, and more.

The 1,600-square-foot space includes a retial boutique.

Why You’ll Love It: Since opening in November, our guests have loved the unique design and calming ambience of the space. From the moment you step inside, it feels like entering a different world.  The design was inspired by Budapest and influenced by the style and heritage of the Rácz Fürdő, which was built by Stephen’s ancestors over 200 years ago.

Right from the start, it was important the space respected Omorovicza’s Hungarian heritage alongside the contemporary elements of the brand, which we achieved by using natural materials such as copper, marble, and stone—some of which reflects the mineral-rich ingredients used within our formulations. We wanted to create an unforgettable experience where our guests relax and rejuvenate; an immersive experience that combines centuries-old wellness traditions with the latest advancements in science.

The London Institute delivers transformative skincare results through targeted treatments and personalised product prescriptions.

Snacks Served: We have three signature drinks: a delicious Hungarian sparkling wine from Budapest, a refreshing elderflower spritz with homemade elderflower essence, and Hungarian strawberry tea made with mineral-infused water.

Bonus: We have a truly unique approach to massage, which takes clients by surprise. It’s our secret weapon and the key to achieving instant results to help skin look and feel newly lifted, sculpted, and much firmer. Our Skin Therapists train in rigorous traditional Hungarian massage techniques for up to three years and the results are transformative. In addition, each treatment includes a personalized Skin Therapy Prescription to help clients continue to experience the benefits at home.

Guests can lounge in the cocooning relaxation area before their treatments.

Splurge Treatment: Our new South Audley Street Skin Therapy Session is the ultimate indulgence. It’s a 90-minute world-class skincare treatment that fuses high-tech with high touch by combining the latest innovations in facial technology alongside time-tested traditional Hungarian methods.

Our Omorovicza Hungarian Facial Massage reawakens a sluggish lymph and encourages micro-circulation, while targeted LED, oxygen facial, and microcurrent therapy machines give the ultimate facial experience and optimum results. This treatment is exclusive to the London Institute, which makes it even more special!

The London Institute introduces Omorovicza’s unique skincare philosophy, delivering healing benefits of the mineral-charged waters of Budapest with Hungarian facial massage.

Unique treatment: I couldn’t choose one. Each one is personalized depending upon your individual skin's needs, so that approach together with our Hungarian massage techniques make each treatment unique.

Insider’s Favorite: Our signature Andrassy Skin Therapy Session Facial draws upon ancient therapies developed over centuries at the thermal baths of Budapest. This bespoke experience is powered by therapeutic touch and begins with an expert skin diagnosis followed by a personalized experience based upon your skin's needs in that moment, with reference to how your skin responds and your ultimate skin goal. For me, this treatment is the ultimate expression of Omorovicza Skin Therapy.

The Institute offers a menu of six Skin Therapy Sessions, each based around unique products and the magic of traditional Hungarian massage.

Featured Products: The London Institute retails the entire Omorovicza product collection. Each product is powered by our patented biotech ingredient, the Healing Concentrate™.

Developed in Budapest with a Nobel prize winning laboratory, we pioneered the Healing Concentrate™ by bio-fermenting Budapest’s mineral-rich thermal water into bio-available molecules which the skin is able to absorb and benefit from.

This unique, innovative ingredient is clinically proven to improve skin hydration, strengthen skin barrier function, boost elasticity and firmness, delivering 26 minerals to the skin. It’s Budapest in a bottle.
