Baha Mar is a resort development in The Bahamas that consists of three hotels: Grand Hyatt, Rosewood, and SLS.

Outside of Las Vegas, Baha Mar in The Bahamas is the largest integrated resort development in the Western Hemisphere that offers guests a unique, larger-than-life vacation experience. Just two years old, the Bahamian resort is set against the soft white sands of Nassau’s Cable Beach and includes three hotels—Grand Hyatt, Rosewood, and SLS—each providing its own style and world-class service. With more than 2,300 rooms, 20 restaurants and lounges, the largest casino in the Caribbean, a state-of-the-art convention center, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Royal Blue Golf Course, and over 30 luxury retail outlets, guests can experience the beauty of The Bahamas in their own way.

Baha Mar is also home to the first flagship ESPA in the Caribbean, ESPA Baha Mar, which follows the brand’s location-inspired philosophy to provide guests with an experience rooted in the unique beauty of the natural surroundings of The Bahamas. The spa feature 24 luxurious private rooms where guests can enjoy an array of expert treatments and therapies incorporating ESPA’s collection of renowned natural products. Another unique amenity is Infuz at Baha Mar, which offers five IV options and booster shots that give 100% of vitamin absorption and leave guests feeling energized and refreshed.

We spoke with Dawn Holder, General Manager of ESPA Baha Mar, who recommended treatments to try, special spa amenities, and more.

Why You’ll Love It: Guests love the airy and open views of the tranquil Bahamian waters. The Reflex Terrace, ESPA’s outdoor relaxation area, is a spacious balcony overlooking Baha Mar’s resort pools, the expansive beach, and bright turquoise waters below.

Our guests also love that that they are able to use the spa facilities together as a couple, as our co-ed offerings include steam, sauna, experience showers, and ice fountains.

Key Features: In addition to steam and sauna, ESPA Baha Mar also features an ice fountain and experience showers. The ice fountain is a rejuvenating cold experience to be used in conjunction with a heated experience. The combination process of heating up and cooling down helps stimulate blood circulation and strengthen the immune system, making spa guests feel refreshed and stress-free. The experience showers also provide an alternation of cold and warm temperatures, helping with circulation and toning of the body.

Insider’s Tip: I always encourage guests to shower and use the available facilities before a spa service. ESPA Baha Mar uses luxurious oils that are quite good for the skin. Therefore, guests will not want to wash all the benefits down the drain following a treatment.

Snacks Served: ESPA serves herbal tea, fruit-infused water, dried fruit, and VitaJuwel water, which contains gems that transfer energy into the water, promoting happiness, balance, and fitness.

Bonus: Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a natural soursop beverage. Soursop is a popular fruit known for its delicious flavor and impressive health benefits. It has a high content of antioxidants, which have been found to effectively protect against damage caused by free radicals. Soursop and its antioxidants reduce inflammation and help stabilize blood sugar levels.

Insider’s Favorite: The Golfer’s Tonic. I love the fact that it begins with a back scrub, then focuses on key areas, including a back and leg massage.

Unique Treatment: The Mindful Massage is an 80-minute deeply therapeutic massage that is unique for its holistic, blissful approach focusing on guided breathing to release physical and emotional anxieties, which helps relax the mind while restoring a positive spirit.

Splurge Treatment: Bahamian Influence is a treatment that uses a Bahamian bush herbal poultice for a full-body massage, cleansing body scrub, and facial massage.
