Amangani (which means ‘peaceful home’) is a nature lover’s dream. The all-season resort is surrounded by immense natural beauty and overlooks the valley of Jackson Hole in Wyoming. The property is just a 20-minute drive from Jackson Hole Airport and located closed to some of the best ski slopes in the United States, in addition to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

Guests can stay in one of the 40 luxury suites and four private homes, all of which offer magnificent mountain and valley views. Amangani’s wellness facilities include a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre, outdoor infinity swimming pool and whirlpool that have mountain and sunset views, as well as Aman Spa—which offers the ultimate self-care experience with an extensive menu of holistic programs, restorative therapies, and beauty treatments that utilize the Aman line of skincare products.

We interviewed Abril Gruber, Spa Manager at Amangani, who shared insider tips, recommended treatments to try, and more:

Perched on East Gros Ventre Butte, the resort is a 20-minute drive from Jackson Hole Airport.

Insider’s Tip: Lunch is best enjoyed relaxing on the grill deck, post treatment

Snacks Served: There are daily infused waters, typically two variations per day, and herbal hot tea available for all guests.

The spa has luxurious private treatments rooms.

Unique Treatment: The Native Detox is exclusive to Amangani and highly unique. It is a 120-minute holistic ritual designed to detox. The treatment begins with a cleanse using indigenous white sage smudge, followed by a full-body polish of a yarrow petal scrub, then a clay mud wrap to extract toxins. A customized full-body massage follows a warm shower that  removes the scrub and mud before patrons are wrapped in warm towels infused with essential oils.

The swimming pool offers exceptional mountain and sunset views.

Insider’s Favorite: My favorite treatment would have to be the Teton Wellness treatment, which is an anti-inflammatory ritual that starts with a revitalizing essential oil foot scrub, followed by a detoxifying foot scrub, exfoliating dry brushing session and a full-body massage.

In the winter, the swimming pool is heated to 27C (85F) so guests can enjoy it all year long.

Splurge Treatment: An Aman Signature journey is well worth the splurge, and comes highly recommended. My personal favorite is the Nourishing Signature Journey.

Amangani is surrounded by a stunning natural landscape with national parks and wildlife.
