Shangri-La Singapore Launches Buds by Shangri-La for Family Travelers
For families traveling with children, it can be a challenge keeping the little ones entertained and engaged during a trip. To remedy this, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore has launched Buds by Shangri-La—an interactive indoor and outdoor play space designed to inspire creativity and fun for kids and their parents. The space is located on the first floor of the property’s newly rejuvenated Tower Wing, and spans approximately 23,142 square feet.
There are a variety of themed activity spaces that encourage learning through play, including a music studio, an art room, an interactive party room, and a full-equipped cooking classroom. There is also a specially-designed Toddler Zone for children under the age of four, which has a piano floor, swings and slides, soft wall buttons that produce animal sounds, and much more.
“The Shangri-La luxury family experience complements the public perception of the brand as a leading business hotel,” says Cetin Sekercioglu, Executive Vice President of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. “Shangri-La’s hallmark of hospitality from the heart provides further depth and inspiring experiences for the entire family through the four pillars of encouraging fun, peace of mind, family time and learning through play.”
The outside space has a giant pirate ship structure that children can play inside, as well as a water play zone with splash pads. Families can also enjoy the free-form outdoor swimming pool located in the center of the hotel property, which has a wading area and jet fountain.
In addition, the ninth floor of the Tower Wing is dedicated to family travelers, offering a choice of five Themed Family Suites and 19 Deluxe Family Rooms. Each of the Themed Family Suites offers an immersive space for children to sleep and dine with unique whimsical interiors and dream-themed beds. The five themes include: Safari, Treetop, Castle, Underwater, and Space.
The suites have two bathrooms, the larger of which is designed for children; additional shelving and storage space; a deep vanity sink for baby washing and space for diaper changing; a pantry with an induction heater, a sink and a large refrigerator. A special feature of the Themed Family Suite is a connecting tunnel between the children’s and parents’ bedrooms. Guests staying in the Themed Family Suites will also enjoy effortless in-room check-in, a dedicated family concierge service, and complimentary access to Buds by Shangri-La.
The Themed Family Suites start at $687 USD per night, and the Deluxe Family Romms start at $328 USD per night. For more information and to make a reservation, visit the hotel’s website, call 65-6235-1666, or email: email@example.com. Follow them on Instagram: @shangrilasg
