Marriage Material: How I Found My Husband is an inspiring new book written by spa owner Deisy Suarez-Giles, who shares her personal story of how she found the love of her life in an unexpected way.

Despite the temporary closure of her spa as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deisy Suarez-Giles decided to purse her lifelong dream of writing a book. The quarantine gave her the time she needed to write her book, in addition to providing her with inspiration.

Marriage Material: How I Found My Husband is the personal story about how Suarez-Giles met her husband and how they managed to overcome adversity in order to start a life together. These days, the couple runs DESUAR Spa in Los Angeles while maintaining a happy home and family life.

“A marriage is simply the communion of two souls that unite on the physical, mental and spiritual planes,” she says. “It’s about the commitment to love and protect one another, to build a home and life together, that is guided by the divine principles of morality and virtue.”

During a period in the world where many couples are finding themselves under additional stress, as well as individuals not currently in relationships who feel hopeless due to not being able to date and socialize at the moment, Suarez-Giles’ book offers a deeper understanding of what a good relationship should be, bringing hope and valuable insight to her readers. She also shares some of the lessons that she has learned from dating, life, love, and her own successful marriage. The book includes a foreword written by journalist Michael Bociurkiw.

If you’re afraid of taking the next step, this book will encourage you to take the right risks in order to reap the benefits. And for those that are in unfulfilling relationships, it will show how years of chronic domestic mental abuse can take its toll on a person when untreated or unrecognized.

“Although my wedding didn’t occur during the pandemic, I had to get married without the people who I loved around me, and being unable to share my special moment with others, it reminded me of our current situation,” says Suarez-Giles. “Perhaps my story could give some hope and perspective to others facing similar circumstances.”

Marriage Material: How I Found My Husband retails for $11.99 and is available for purchase here.
