On Global Wellness Day (June 13), Four Seasons Resorts’ three properties in Thailand will bring all their wellness experts from around the world and take guests through a range of experiences—from tea meditation and wellness cooking, to kundalini yoga to mindfulness sessions with visiting practitioners. Each resort will broadcast the live series and videos on their individual Instagram pages.

“Even as we all stay safe at home out of an abundance of caution, we wanted to share transformational experiences that will help cope with times like these, and also give guests a chance to dream a little…of better times to come,” adds Anthony Gill, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Tented Camp Golden Triangle.

Highlights from the day will include:

Forest Bathing

On Global Wellness Day, the Camp will launch Forest Bathing—a therapy trail inspired by the jungles at the Golden Triangle.  Introducing this experience for the first time, guests will be transported to the beautiful jungle setting to partake in this mindful practice through a live broadcast. Ideal for those wanting to immerse in nature, the experience will inspire guests to connect with themselves and the serene atmosphere of the bamboo jungles at the Camp.

“The healing power of nature’s embrace is much-needed—now more than ever!” shares Tobias Emmer, Camp Manager at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. “Nature is a good medicine and being one with nature in times like these allows us to take our thoughts away from the daily routine.”

Tea Meditation

Taking inspiration from the Japanese Zen tradition of tea ceremony, guests are invited to start the day with Tea Meditation led by the resort’s Naturopath, Sudha Nair. “It is inspired by ‘ichigo ichi’ meaning one time, one meeting,” she shares. “Drinking tea is a part of our daily routine. This meditation brings a focus to mindfulness of the experience—from boiling the water to savoring the tea.” For this online session, guests are required to come prepared with a pot of boiling water and a tea cup with tea leaves.

Well-Being Therapy

In a virtual session, resident therapist Sakol Chotchuang will help guests quickly and efficiently revitalise energy levels. “There are times when you feel the need for an instant ‘pick me up.' This series of stretches will help promote circulation, increase blood flow to the muscles and improve overall health.” While Sakol helps bring positivity to time at home, Spa Supervisor Rattanapron Morkmeung will share tips on a homemade guava and lime zest scrub that will transport participants to experience the island life.
