Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan to Debut Revamped Sacred River Spa in September 2024

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan will debut a revamped version of its Sacred River Spa in September 2024.

A stunning wellness oasis in Indonesia’s Ayung River Valley, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan helped inspire the movie “Eat, Pray, Love” with its magical setting close to the center of Ubud. The picturesque retreat, which is among the world’s finest luxury properties, takes guests closer to the heart and soul of Bali with locally-inspired experiences, its unique rice bowl-shaped architecture, and accommodations ranging from suites to villas.

In September 2024, the resort will be debuting a brand-new and revamped Sacred River Spa, which will include a new design along with enhanced treatments and experiences inspired by the biophilic beauty of its river valley home. The re-imagined spa will take its inspiration from the ancient Balinese philosophy of Niskala (unseen energy).

The updated spa will include an exquisite new design plus enhanced treatments and experiences inspired by the biophilic beauty of its river valley home.

The spa redesign will include new reception and retail areas, as well as outdoor relaxation and lounge spaces surrounded by a tranquil lotus pond. Underneath the lush jungle canopy there will be seven new Spa Villas, which will include five couple rooms for shared serenity.

Treatment villas will feature Luxury Portovino EVO electric massage beds, and one couples’ suite will have Water Dream massage beds by luxury Italian brand Lemi for free-flowing tranquility. A hybrid infra-red and Swedish Sauna Treatment Villa will include crystal bowls, while 15 quartz singing bowls and bamboo koshi chimes will set the resonant tone in a dedicated Sound Healing Therapy Room.

The redesign of Sacred River Spa will include outdoor relaxation and lounge spaces surrounded by a tranquil lotus pond.

Sacred River Spa will also unveil a revised treatment menu that will align with the rhythmic, rebalancing energy of the Ayung. Offerings will include:

  • Signature Water Blessings Ritual: This will combine the essence of water with sacred Balinese practices through a water-bed massage and invigorating Vichy shower.

  • Breath of Bali Ritual: This service will evoke deep connection to the elements and the land.

  • Enhanced Chakra Ceremonies: One of the most popular experiences on the former spa menu, these will take guests on a transformative journey guided by ancient wisdom.

The spa will also debut a new collaboration with Synthesis Organics, as well as new meditation and healing experiences including an elevating meditation set on a bridge over the river’s sacred waters. In addition, the spa will host 12 international yoga teachers throughout the year alongside immersive well-being retreats by renowned Visiting Masters.

The spa will also have brand-new reception and retail areas.
