Escape to the Yucatán Jungle for a Special Meditation with Velas Resorts

If you’re feeling stressed out or cooped up at home these days with all that’s going on in the world, a great way to relax and feel calm is to incorporate the ancient technique of meditation into your daily practice. We also recommend checking out these products that bring the outdoors inside.

In addition to helping manage and decrease stress, meditation also increases creativity, balances negative emotions, increases self-awareness, and helps you focus on the present.

Relax with Muse Meditation Headbands

If you’d like to further enhance your at-home meditation practice, follow the tips below to achieve peace of mind by encouraging calmness and mental quiet, while also giving yourself the opportunity to relax and express gratitude.

4 Meditation Tips:

  • Wear comfortable clothes. Take off your shoes, you don’t need them for this! Instead, use clothes that allow you to move freely.

  • Find a quiet place. In order to get more concentration, it’s important to look out for a place where you can’t get distracted or interrupted.

  • Good posture is important. The proper way is to sit on the floor, on your knees or cross-legged, with a straight back and loose arms.

  • Focus your attention on the sounds of the sea. Close your eyes, let your thoughts flow and imagine every detail of the ocean: Its smell, walking barefoot on the sand, and the wind moving the palm trees.
