We may not be able to make a trip to our favorite brow pros right now, but thankfully brow boss Dominique Bossavy, a semi-permanent makeup artist, is sharing her tips for maintaining beautiful brows at home. Bossavy is known globally for her semi-permanent cosmetic enhancements, including her work in NanoColor Infusion for eyebrows, as well as for her camouflage scar revision and French highlighting lip defining.

Don’t over-pluck, but instead follow Bossavy’s DIY brow tips:

Daily Maintenance

Cleanse, Cut, Moisturize for upkeep as a regular regimen.

Sunscreen daily is essential.

Balanced diet inside out. Zinc, iron, vitamin D and Omega-3 Fatty Acids are good to support the follicles and hydrate. Biotin [B7] and vitamin B12 are also great to support the strength and condition of hair.

Exfoliate the area with a very light and gentle exfoliator.

Use HA products to keep hairs hydrated and full, giving them a thicker appearance.

Apply serum at night for nourishment.

Protect loss with a conditioner like Egyptian castor oil to maintain follicle health and strength.

Stimulate blood flow with circulatory massage.

Comb or brush daily , but PLEASE pass on pervasive plucking.

If you must pluck:

While it’s best to let your professional shape you, you can keep your lines and "control" by plucking only the stray single hairs that are in open space and truly out of place. Trim the rest.

Set it and forget it:

Minimize touching and fussing. Set brows using a brow "soap" trick for creating the look of thick and full finished brows.

Use glycerine soap as a holding agent to make even the most unruly hairs stand at attention, controlling and styling brows so we don't touch.

Directions:

  • Mist a spoolie bush so the product catches and is "tacky," then you coat the hairs and let set for a minute.

  • As it sets, style the brow hairs up for a more dramatic, fuller look. It will stay in place!
