Wellness Focused Options

As the resort continues to expand its wellness offerings, a new wellness focus is led by wellness guide Colleen Inman. A published author of wellness and yoga books, including a celebrated manual for yoga instructors and her latest book, Balancing the Earth Element. A mother of two and a true yogi at heart, Inman works with guests daily, and along with a professional team offers custom and modern-focuses and practices. When creating the new wellness menu for Castle Hot Springs, the natural elements came into play based on geography.

“The Intentional Wellness Program at Castle Hot Springs offers the seeds of future wellness to the proverbial table where guests may choose to pick up the kernel of wisdom they wish to cultivate in their own lives,” states Inman. “We will show them how to practice the wellness techniques and suggest appropriate ongoing methods to slowly weave the intention of future wellness into the very fabric of their life. Nature itself has inherent patterns in cycles that can teach us the wisdom of how to live in harmony and health.”

 A Holistic Approach to Wellness

By offering a well-balanced approach to wellness, even moderation must be met with moderation. Castle Hot Springs encourages guests to find balance in the great outdoors, as well as internally. Castle Hot Springs’ geothermal hot springs have long made it a restorative ground for visitors beginning with Native Americans who journeyed to the mineral-rich hot springs for medicinal purposes. Naturally forged over time more than 13,000 years ago, the hot springs boast a variety of natural minerals that provides a multitude of health benefits including producing collagen for healthy skin, blood pressure reduction, and fatigue and stress prevention.

In addition to swimming and soaking in the geothermal springs, guests can choose from a variety of activities including stand-up paddleboard yoga, horseback riding, hiking, and training in archery amongst the resort’s surrounding rugged terrain; pickle and bocce ball on the great lawn; and the state’s first-ever Via Ferrata course.

Even Castle Hot Springs’ culinary programming ties into the resort’s overall wellness approach. The sustainable ‘Flavor Farming’-driven culinary and agricultural teams at Castle Hot Springs emphasize growing and utilizing crops for flavor rather than size and yield. Led by the agricultural team, the property grows more than 500 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and florals including distinct varieties of delicious heirloom and hybrid tomatoes on the resort’s thriving one-acre organic farm and greenhouse—all of which supply the resort’s on-site dining experience.

A one-of-a-kind, outdoor-driven adult getaway (ages 16 and up only) accessible via automobile or helicopter, Castle Hot Springs is conveniently located just an hour’s drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport yet remains a perfectly remote hideaway for those seeking to disconnect in a naturally distanced environment.
