Selena Gomez is the founder of Rare Beauty, a new makeup brand the embraces self-love and acceptance.
Pop star and actress Selena Gomez has launched a new beauty collection called Rare Beauty, and it will be available in the United States, Canada, and Mexico starting September 3, 2020. Gomez found a passion for beauty products at a young age after spending time sitting in the makeup chair and has been working on the Rare Beauty launch for the last two years. Since the brand's inception, Selena has been involved in every step of product development from testing each product to developing the design.

One of Selena's goals with Rare Beauty is to challenge the "beauty myth" which sets unrealistically impossible expectations. The brand aims to defy the idea of physical perfection and instead use makeup as a tool to celebrate what makes people different. Rare Beauty is all about using makeup to help people embrace self-love and acceptance by owning what makes you rare.
"These products aren't about being someone else, it's about being who you are, whether that's rocking a full face of bold makeup or barely any makeup at all," says Gomez. “Makeup is something to enjoy, it's not something you need. I want every person to feel beautiful exactly as they are.”
The collection includes a range of thoughtfully formulated products, available in 14 categories starting September 3 at Sephora and RareBeauty.com.
For every Rare Beauty product sold, one percent of all sales (as well as funds raised from partners) will be dedicated to the Rare Impact Fund, which aims to increase access to mental health resources.

Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner.
Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner is an easy-glide, waterproof liquid eyeliner inspired by a calligrapher and made from over 1,000 individual vegan bristles.
The complexion products include the Always An Optimist Illuminating Primer, Always an Optimist 4-in-1 Mist, and the Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation & Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer, which are each available in 48 shades to suit all skin tones.
Light Touch Weightless Foundation.
Light Touch Weightless Foundation is a breathable full-coverage foundation that melts into skin.
Soft Pinch Liquid Blushes.
Soft Pinch Liquid Blush is a weightless, long-lasting liquid blush that blends and builds for a soft, healthy flush in matte or dewy finishes.
Rare Beauty With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm and Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream.
With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm is a hydrating lip balm with dewy, buildable color. Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream is an air-whipped lip cream with rich, melted-in color and nourishing hydration.
The collection also includes Blot & Glow Touch-Up Kit, a refillable 2-in-1 compact that teams up your touch-up essentials—blotting papers and a radiant powder-filled puff, as well as tools including sponges and brushes.
