A talented team of experienced therapists and estheticians provide a specialized blend of custom massages, facials and signature body treatments, in addition to offering Yon-Ka and Cell Renewal Systems customized facials.

Relaxing and intimate, Spa del Mar can accommodate small private parties, making it the perfect destination for birthday celebrations, bridal showers and bachelorette parties, and other special events. It also uses pure jojoba oil in all its massages, and spa guests also receive access to the hotel’s pool and jacuzzi. We chatted with spa director and owner, Julie Menicucci, who gave us the scoop on treatments to try, insider tips, and more:

Insider’s Tip: We offer groups of eight or more the option to book our day spa and private patio to themselves for a nominal fee. They are welcome to bring food and beverages if they desire. Another tip: We use pure jojoba oil for our massages and hand blend our body treatment products.

Snacks Served: We offer our special spa water, as well as a selection of herbal tea. Guests have the option to order food and beverages from our hotel resort's restaurant.

Unique Treatment: Our Dead Sea Mud and Bamboo Fusion (90 minutes/$225). We have blended components of our most popular treatments. Start with an invigorating dry brush full body exfoliation. Next, experience a dead sea mud/essential oil back treatment. While the product is working its magic on your back muscles, you will receive an amazing foot and leg massage with our Brazilian bamboo sticks. After the mud pack is removed, you will receive a therapeutic full-body massage.

Splurge Treatment: Our Signature Yon-Ka Facial "Grande Classique” (75 minutes/$195). A phyto organic facial that is customized and recommended at any age, this facial leaves you with clean, perfectly balanced skin and a radiant complexion. Yon-Ka skin care is renowned for promoting relaxation and hydrating the skin with a beautiful blend of lavender, geranium, cypress, thyme and rosemary. Double steam, gentle cream exfoliation, extractions, massage, and a purifying cleansing mask transform the skin into a beautiful glow.

Insider’s Favorite: My favorite is the Santa Barbara Salt Glow Package (90 minutes/$225). This is an incredible exfoliation treatment that rids the body of dead, lifeless skin and leaves you glowing. Our signature, hand blended product contains essential oils of rosemary and mint, combined with precious Himalayan salts. After a refreshing rinse, enjoy a full body therapeutic massage.
