Glen Ivy Hot Springs
Famous for its healing mineral waters, Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, California, offers guests fun activities, clean cuisine, therapeutic spa and beauty treatments, and beautiful amenities with a lush landscape as its backdrop. From May through October, the resort also offers Twilight Evenings, which feature live entertainment and a special dinner menu. Sandra Miller, Director of Sales and Marketing, gives us an insider's look at the unique wellness destination.
Why You’ll Love It: Glen Ivy Hot Springs is truly unique in the world of California spa destinations. With 19 pools and mineral baths, the property gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a spa day in the company of friends. Activities like Club Mud not only provide the benefits of a spa treatment, they are social activities that people enjoy together, giving them the best of relaxation and social enjoyment simultaneously.
Key Features: Glen Ivy Hot Springs has 19 pools and mineral baths, saunas, Club Mud, and full locker room facilities for both men and women. Virtually everything you need for the day is available on the property. We provide everything from hair care products and blowdryers to body lotion in our Bath House. Towels, lounge chairs and “spa water” are readily available and complimentary. If you forget something, our retail store sells a wide selection of swimsuits, cover-ups, sandals, hats, towels, sunscreen and skin care products.
Bonus: Guests experiencing our Grotto treatment enjoy complimentary apples and tea in the final chamber. All of our facial treatments begin with our signature [comfort zone] welcome ritual using an indulgent blend of calming aromatic textures, and conclude with an arm and hand massage. Best of all, we offer free admission with the purchase of a service on your birthday!
Insider Tip: One of the best kept secrets on the property is that you can reserve Ivy Terrace Lounge chairs for $30 for the day. These are up on our cabana deck and come with concierge service as well. The deck overlooks the property and it gives you an amazing view of the lush landscape of the resort as well as the local mountains. We’ve also just opened our new Secret Garden. This area offers a lovely shaded deck under century-old oak trees, as well as cabanas and a grass lawn for lounging and picnics. It is secluded from the rest of the property and is a wonderful place for quiet relaxation or a private event.
Snacks Served: We actually have a lovely restaurant, the Ivy Kitchen, that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day. Here, we are serving a farm-to-table menu that highlights our orchards and the fresh produce we grow on the property. Then we have a grab-and-go outlet, GOCO Café, which serves Starbucks and a selection of our own sandwiches, salads and pastries. The Chill Zone serves fresh-pressed juices, smoothies and frozen yogurt. Lastly, Lounge 1860 is our cocktail lounge. It serves beer, wine and a variety of wine-based cocktails including margaritas, mimosas and more.
Splurge: If I wanted to splurge, I’d enjoy our 80-minute Quartz Massage. Using a Gharieni Quartz Table, exclusive to the area, this treatment is based on the Ancient Greek concept of “psammotherapy.” Dry heat from the warm quartz sand ergonomically cradles the body to alleviate muscle and joint pain, offering relaxing effects to the body and soul.
Most Unique Treatment: Our Tranquillity Pro-Sleep is a unique experience that deeply relaxes the body and mind using sensorial synergy of delicate textures, aroma-therapeutic scents and the power of human touch. Inspired by Ayurveda and the Indonesian archipelago Malay, this exceptional ritual favors sleep, aids in recovery from chronic stress, and is ideal for jet lag recovery.
Insider Favorite: I love our Sole Focus. This service has extended focus on the feet, designed to promote full body relaxation, reduce stress, decrease pain and improve sleep. It uses modified Zone Theory on the soles of the feet to stimulate points on the feet that improve circulation, calm the mind and relieve tension throughout the body.
Featured Products: [comfort zone] is our primary partner for skin care and massage. However, we also use products from SpaRitual and Farmhouse Fresh in our nail care services. And our retail store and salon offer a wide range of brands including COOLA, Jane Iredale, NuFace and more.
