When we heard that Glossier was opening their first store in Los Angeles, we just had to check it out. The brand, born of out CEO Emily Weiss’s popular beauty blog Into the Gloss, recently made Melrose Place the home of its second permanent store. The original Glossier store is located in the Soho district of New York.

Upon walking in, you're immediately greeted by friendly faces in matching jumpsuits, the scent of Byredo Burning Rose candles, and pink. EVERYWHERE. Even the floors are pink. All of the products are out on display with testers, which makes trying on and playing around with them a breeze. A visit to the store is meant to be an interactive and Instagram-worthy experience.

We were also able to pop into Glossier Canyon. If you go on a weekend, expect a line. The popular attraction is modeled after Antelope Canyon in Arizona, and allows visitors to experience the sights and sounds of nature, look in a giant mirror, and of course, take a selfie.

With their “skin first, makeup second” and “less is more” attitude towards beauty, it’s easy to see why Glossier quickly developed a cult following among millennials, and pretty much anyone that loves makeup. Their fan favorites include the Milky Jelly Cleanser and my personal favorite, the Cloud Paints. Their products are just...easy. They’re simple to apply (fingers!) and not overly complicated. Swipe some Cloud Paint on your cheeks, apply Coconut Balm Dotcom on your lips, and you’re good to go!

With products that start at $12, you can bring home a souvenir and not break the bank. Unless you’re like me and buy one of everything. Oops. If you’re in LA, it’s definitely worth the stop. Who doesn’t love playing with makeup, selfies and the color pink?
