Having a child is one of the greatest joys in life, but it also comes at the cost of having less time to indulge in self-care. After the birth of her daughter, esthetician Trina Renea was inspired to create a space where parents could go and enjoy some much-needed personal time without compromising the care of their newborn child. And thus, Spa Lé La was created—a luxury day spa in Studio City where parents can enjoy a variety of spa services while receiving complimentary on-site child care.

“My daughter inspired me to create a spa with child care,” says Renea. “I would have never dreamed of an idea like this pre-child. I worked in the industry before her. After giving birth, I met many moms who felt they could not practice self-care because of their children. This inspired me to fix this problem. Parents need self-care the most.”

While their parents are at the spa, children are entertained with different activities while under the care of nannies.

Child care is available for children from the ages of six months to nine years. For children younger than six months, the Spa has “Mommy and Me” hours, where clients can bring their infant into the rooms in their carriers while receiving spa services. Kids older than nine years of age can hang out in the lounge area while the parent gets their treatments.

Renea, who describes the child care as a “godsend” among her customers, said that she wanted to make everything affordable and accessible to all parents. Child care is included with any service at the Spa, and an extra half-hour of “lounge time” also comes with it, allowing guests the opportunity to relax before or after their treatment while their child is being cared for.

“The children are fully engaged with our nannies,” says Renea. “They play with them and entertain them with activities including art, music and yoga. The kids absolutely love coming to Spa Lé La. We hear from many parents that their kids request to come back all the time.”
